I’m not a Hollywood television producer, but I am a television consumer, and I think this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Those idiots who canceled Roseanne’s show, must be crying in their beers because they cut off the money spigot when they shut down production over her tweets. So, one has to wonder, if now they are trying to salvage the last remnants of whatever audience has not been offended by the liberal double standards that canceled the show, in the first place, in hopes of rectifying their enormous error in judgment.
Got news for ya! The popularity of Roseanne’s show centered around the star. You can’t rebuild a hit with a bunch of liberals who threw her under the bus when they canceled the show.
The new show will revolve around, liberal, Sara Gilbert. Yeah, you can see the writing is on the wall already.
We’re told Sara’s been calling cast members to gauge their interest in the event ABC gives the reboot the green light. We’re told John Goodman is “very interested.”
Our sources say Tom Werner, who produced “Roseanne” through his company Carsey-Werner, is involved in the effort to reboot the show around Sara.
But, again it may be all about the money. Because Roseanne herself is still raking in a salary for the next 13 episodes. Looks like ABC desperately needs find a way to recoup some of the contractual money they threw away when they canceled the very successful Roseanne reboot.
The Blaze: ABC’s decision to cancel “Roseanne” will not come cheap, The Hollywood Reporter reported this week, as actors and some show employees will still need to be paid for the show’s entire 13-episode second season, which was soon slated to enter production.
Well, good luck with that ABC. I predict a big zero!
