The president has been taken to Walter Reed Hospital, mas a precaution after her began showing symptoms of DTMNBN. (Disease That Must Not Be Named) The president was suffering from a fever, chills and a cough. The move was described as precautionary.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said :
“President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days. President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady.”
Dr. Sean P. Conley, the president’s physician, stated:
“Following PCR-confirmation of the President’s diagnosis, as a precautionary measure he received a single 8-gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail. He completed the infusion without incident.”
“In addition to the polyclonal antibodies, the President has been taking zinc, Vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin.”
The president announced early on Friday that both he and the first lady had contracted them disease. Both he and the first lady have experienced slight symptoms of the disease but both are expected to make a full recovery.
VP Mike Pence is on alert but he is not expected to take over the role of president. The president will be working out of Walter Reed for the next few days.
But Trump, who regularly posts on Twitter, was silent on the social media platform after announcing his infection and ceded the only event on his official public schedule to Vice President Mike Pence.
Trump, who is 74 and clinically overweight, is at a higher risk of complications from the virus, due to his age and weight, according to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The risk of a severe illness increases with age and other factors, and other medical conditions can also increase risk, including obesity, according to the agency.
Trump’s weighs about 240 pounds and is about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, according to past health assessments made public in June. His physician has said he is overall healthy.
The president is healthy and the move was made because of who he is and not because his condition would have normally warranted it. He should be back in the White House soon. He will be doing his rallies by remote until this passes.
