You know, it’s funny but when antifa and BLM rioters were destroying the lives of business owners and threatening the lives of the innocent, AOC, Nancy Pelosi and the other Democrats could care less.
But when civil unrest touches their lives, they fall all apart. But, even though the DC rioters did not loot, burn or assault, they say they are the danger.
The same thing goes for the freedom of the press. And that is where AOC is setting her sights. She says the media needs to be reined in.
Make no mistake about it, she is referring to the conservative press, whom she claims spreads disinformation. Does she mean like the Russian collusion hoax? AOC said she feared for her life at the Capitol, even though no lawmaker was attacked or threatened.
But she and other liberal Democrats did not face the danger which has run rampant all across the country. They weren’t pulled out of their cars and beaten savagely. But they did approve of it. They may not be willing to become violent themselves but they have held the coats for those who do. How many innocents have been beaten? So, you put yourself in the elected official’s place and you can see, they didn’t have any real worries.
AOC said:
“I can say, there is absolutely a commission being discussed but it seems to be more investigatory in style rather than truth and reconciliation, so I think that’s an interesting concept for us to explore.”
“We’re going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so that you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation.”
“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future. I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”
Journalist Glen Greenwald predicted in October that media will target Trump supporters even if Biden won the election, warning that Trump’s presidency enabled media “to elevate everybody’s fear level” and portray Trump as “a grave threat to everything that’s good” in modern society.
“There is no question that Democrats are gearing up to use their new power to apply far more pressure than ever on Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc. to censor any views they deem ‘threatening,’” Greenwald tweeted in November, referring to comments made by former President Barack Obama about controlling the internet with “a combination of government regulations and corporate practices.”
