After several years of ignoring crimes and possible crimes committed by Ilhan Omar, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has published a report on Omar’s campaign finance violations, tax fraud crimes and even mentioned her marriage to her brother. They included information from her brother’s high school record and her marriage application, and the birthdays are an exact match. The paper tried to find another Ahmed Nur Said Elmi with the same birthday, but there was none to be found. This could become a major problem for Omar since if found guilty of these crimes, her citizenship can be pulled and she could even be deported.
Ilhan Omar was back in the news this week on her tax fraud violations and alleged marriage to her Somali brother.
After several years of avoiding the subject — on Tuesday the Minneapolis Star-Tribune published a report on Ilhan Omar, her tax fraud crimes, her illegal use of campaign funds to cover travel costs and touched on her alleged marriage to her younger brother.
Investigative Journalist David Steinberg who has been covering the incredible story for years commented on the report today. Much of the information has already been reported… by David.
Ben is correct.
Worse, it seems the @StarTribune made a perfectly irrational decision here: To try to rebuild trust with readers by:
1) Whitewashing its 3 years of failure on Omar, and
2) Not crediting the 3 reporters whose work they essentially steal here. https://t.co/hXKFnoQElJ— David Steinberg ?? (@realDSteinberg) July 16, 2019
David Steinberg reported at PJ Media that this is the same birth date recorded on his school documents.
It is also clear that her brother-husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi has an almost identical name to her father Nur Said Elmi Mohamed.
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry today tweeted out that if Ilhan committed immigration fraud, she also committed passport fraud. And tax fraud. And campaign fraud.
These violations are enough to send her back to Somalia.
If Omar committed immigration fraud, she also committed passport fraud. And tax fraud. And campaign fraud. If she in fact did commit immigration fraud, she may indeed have to “go back” to Somalia. But will DHS, DOS, IRS and/or FEC investigate her?https://t.co/2Q788ubVCe
