Blue Magazine is a publication that is owned and operated by law enforcement officers in this country. Every year, they select their person of the year. In 2020 that person is President Trump. Tom Homan, a career law enforcement officer, who was Man of the Year in 2019 was asked to write about the selection of the president this year.
Homan wrote that as far as he was concerned Trump should have been their man of the year ever since he took office. Homan said that no president has ever been more pro policeman than our current Commander in Chief. Homan has worked for six presidents starting with Ronald Reagan.
He then quoted Trump:
“America needs creation, not destruction; cooperation, not contempt; security, not anarchy; healing, not hatred; justice, not chaos. This is our mission, and we will succeed.”
President Trump signed an Executive Order holding city officials responsible for allowing rioters to get out of hand. They could withhold funds based on several factors. Those factors include defunding the police or ordering the police to stand down rather than to enforce the law.
Homan then went on to explain that the President ordered an operation known as Legend. The program has resulted in more than 2,000 arrests. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has seized 587 firearms, more than 1.2 kilos of heroin and more than five kilos of methamphetamine.
The U.S. Marshals Service has recovered 169 firearms and made 1,810 arrests, including 163 for homicide and 120 for sexual assault.
Every year, dozens of courageous police officers lay down their lives for people that they never met, people that they don’t know, people they never saw, in most cases. They lay down their lives for people they never have met. They’re incredible. Law enforcement; let’s give them a hand, please. As president, I will always stand with the men and women of law enforcement.
Homan listed the support for Trump from law enforcement agencies across the country, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the National Association of Police Officers, the International Union of Police Associations, the National Association of Police Organizations, NYC Police Benevolent Association, and the Texas Municipal Police Association.
“It’s time we come out in full force on Election Day to vote for the man who has our backs, ” Homan wrote. “President Trump, let me be the first to say, you have truly earned this Man of the Year award. Blue Magazine appreciates and supports you.”
The president is often praising police during his rallies and he is working to increase the number of police and creating larger penalties for those who attack law enforcement officers.
Trump has been endorsed by every major law enforcement group in America. These are groups that have always endorsed Biden in the past. He shunned them this year in order to pander to Antifa and BLM.
