Kamala Harris Gets Scolded Over Medicare for All By 91-Yr-Old Woman

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of David Harris Jr.

Kamala Harris was campaigning in Iowa when she was confronted by a 91-year-old woman who asked her who would pay for Medicare for All. Harris said, “We will.” At that point, the woman told Harris to leave their healthcare alone. She obviously remembers Obamacare and all of its broken promises. Harris is the only candidate that says that she will not have to raise taxes on the poor and the middle class to pay for the program. But, even if you take all the money and property from the rich you could only raise $3 billion of the $32 billion the program would cost in the first ten years.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) took some heat from an elderly Iowa woman on Monday, when the voter scolded Harris and told her to “leave our health care alone.”

What are the details?

According to Fox News, Harris was speaking with residents at the Bickford Senior Living Center in Muscatine when 91-year-old Roberta Jewell summoned the candidate over to her by saying, “Can I ask you a question? I understand that you are advocating health care for everyone.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Harris replied.

“Who’s going to pay for it?” Mrs. Jewell asked.

“Well, we’re going to pay for it,” Harris responded, “because right now, let me tell you something, we’re all paying for health care for everyone, and it’s in an emergency room.”

“No, we’re not,” Mrs. Jewell said, before telling Harris in no uncertain terms: “Leave our health care alone. We don’t want you to mess with it.”
