Washed up NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is on a new mission. He is calling for the release of cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. He says that Jamal was framed and has been in prison since 1981.
“Mumia was shot, brutalized, arrested, and chained to a hospital bed.”
“We’re in the midst of a movement that says Black Lives Matter, and if that’s truly the case, then it means that Mumia’s life and legacy must matter. And the causes that he sacrificed his life and freedom for must matter as well.”
Jamal is a former member of the original Black Panthers. Officer Danny Faulkner pulled over a car belonging to the brother of Jamal. Jamal shot Officer Faulkner in the back, knocking him down on the ground. He then stood over the injured officer and he shot him in the head, killing him according to four eyewitnesses.
Kaepernick claims that Jamal has declared himself on numerous occasions. That’s not true. Jamal has never denied he committed the crime. Neither has he admitted to it. But with four eyewitnesses, it least little room for doubt. But Jamal has become a hero to many, especially BLM.
As reported by Newsbusters,:
“Employed by a radio station, Abu-Jamal was a member of the Black Panthers. During a routine traffic stop in Philadelphia in 1981, Faulkner stopped a vehicle belonging to Abu-Jamal’s younger brother William Cook,” the outlet reported. “A physical confrontation ensued, and Abu-Jamal, who was nearby at the time, shot Faulkner in the back and in the face, the latter shot while the officer lay bleeding on the ground. Four witnesses testified to this.”
“Abu-Jamal was also shot in the confrontation and, while recovering in a hospital, admitted he shot the policeman and said he hoped Faulkner would die.”
This is just one more battle that Kaepernick is doomed to be a failure. Jamal has been on the radio and he writes for various outlets. Hollywood celebrities have donated money and others put together entertaining skits and they marched demanding his release.
One person who was in the forefront was Rosie O’Donnell CIA code name “Fat and Furious.”
