Liberals are infiltrating the clergy. Recently 66 ministers with the Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalian and United Church of Christ have signed on to a letter supporting abortion, in an apparent abandonment of God and their ministries. I am interested to see if their congregations rebel against them by either firing them or moving on to other churches. If not, I will lose faith in them the same way I have lost faith in any minister or pastor who signed the letter. Although it’s true that Jesus said:
Matthew 19:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
What that means is that we should not hinder children from accepting Jesus as the Christ and Lord, not that we should send them prematurely. No church leader can support abortion and God. As the Bible says:
King James Bible
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
God is love. Killing innocent babies is not love, it is the very diametrically opposed vision. Just as liberals got America to accept gay marriage so do they want America to believe that God sanctions abortions. I wish I could be a fly on the Golden Gate when they try to explain to Saint peter that abortion is God’s will. His temper is legendary and a few liberals may find an ear missing after that encounter.
However, the pro-abortion religious leaders claimed the bill is based on religion, not science.
The constitutional right of women to make their own healthcare decisions is being attacked in the Iowa Legislature. With arguments based only in religious beliefs, it will create harm to Iowa women and a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions.
It is creating a clear path for the government to intrude in the most personal rights and decisions of Iowa women. This is unconstitutional and it is wrong.
Calling the pro-life legislation “immoral,” they argued that women deserve to make their own decisions about their bodies and their pregnancies.
“Every person has the right to their own personal and religious beliefs and to live their life how they determine is best for them. The government does not have the right to infringe on the freedoms or privacy of Iowa women based on those religious beliefs,” they wrote.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but not to their own facts. Abortion is murder.
