REPORT: Muslim ‘Community Patrol’ Formed In Brooklyn, NY

For some time now we have been on the alert for the growing influence of those who consider the “religion of peace” their personal choice. We have reason to be on guard, because those who practice said religion, specifically the extremists, adhere to the principles of the core Shari’a beliefs, which is diametrically opposed to the standards and laws of the USA.

We came across this report recently about a community patrol being formed in Brooklyn, New York, organized with the specific intent to help protect the Muslim population in that city. New York City has nearly 800,000 of them at last count. That’s 22% of the known population of the entire city, or more than one-fifth. The patrol is planned as a sort of supplement to the New York City Police Department.

This from NYT:

Muslims Form Community Patrol. Some Neighbors Say No, Thanks.

The self-funded group sees itself as a neighborhood watch. But there was alarm after its cars were spotted in Brooklyn without warning, or explanation.

Maeen Ali remembers the worry he felt when he first spotted the “Punish a Muslim Day” screed online.

The letter, mailed last spring throughout England, encouraged violence that ranged from pulling off a woman’s head scarf to bombing mosques. Each attack, the letter instructed, would be rewarded with points. The hate campaign prompted the police in New York and other big cities to expand patrols around mosques and Islamic centers on the specified day.

Mr. Ali, who lives in Downtown Brooklyn, said he was consumed by thoughts of his four children’s safety.

“That just boiled inside of me,” said Mr. Ali, 38, who moved to the United States from Yemen in 1990. “That’s when I said to myself that it was really important to come out and protect Muslims in the community.”

He added, “I have to stand up.”

As it turns out, he will spend most of his time sitting — in a white Ford Taurus that is detailed to look like a police squad car with red and white emergency lights.

Mr. Ali is among the first 30 members of the all-volunteer Muslim Community Patrol & Services that is preparing to operate in neighborhoods in Brooklyn, with a goal of growing its fleet of two cars to five by the end of the month and eventually expanding citywide. The group recently held a training led by off-duty officers from the Police Department’s 72nd Precinct.

“It’s like a neighborhood watch but on steroids,” said Noor Rabah, the group’s 31-year-old vice president who lives in Sunset Park.

As word of the new patrol has begun to spread, the backlash has been swift, even among some members of the Muslim community who have criticized the lack of information, and even questioned the need for the patrol.

Like the Shomrim that patrols largely Hasidic neighborhoods in Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Asian Safety Patrol that operates mainly in Sunset Park, the new group — believed to be the first of its kind in the country — hopes to function as extra sets of eyes and ears for the police.

Frida Kahlo Was a Painter, a Brand Builder, a Survivor. And So Much More.
The unarmed civilian patrol will offer translation services — its members are fluent in any of seven languages — explain cultural nuances, report suspicious activity, respond to traffic accidents and even help in searches for the missing. The patrol has the support of Brooklyn’s borough president, Eric L. Adams, and Assistant Chief Brian J. Conroy, the commanding officer of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South.

“More than buildings went down in 9/11. Trust between communities went down,” Mr. Adams said. “We are building it back one brick at a time, and this patrol is one of those bricks.”

Leaders said the group is self-funded and used donations to purchase the cars and navy blue uniforms for its members, many of whom are involved with the Muslim Community Center in Sunset Park.

Volunteers plan to work in shifts, watching over arrival and dismissal times at three Islamic schools in Brooklyn and conducting patrols from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., mostly near mosques and bus and subway stops in Bay Ridge and Sunset Park, where there are large Muslim populations. It will also link residents to food pantries, mentorship programs and counseling services. It aims to serve anyone who needs help, Mr. Rabah said, not just Muslims.

“Presence is prevention,” Mr. Rabah said. “Just us being around should deter the average criminal mind of doing something to harm another person.”

But in a world where  far-right conspiracy theories have inspired terror plots against an Islamic enclave in upstate New York, and a travel ban has blocked residents of predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States, nothing, it seems, is that simple.

Organizers said they were prepared for skeptics.

But they did not expect the vitriol unleashed when a photo of their new, double-parked patrol cars on Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge turned up Dec. 21 on Facebook, and later on Instagram. The hostility spread after a far-right Canadian website, Rebel Media, posted a snippet on YouTube. The ugly online comments included accusations that the group was a stalking horse for Shariah law, and worse.

“I expected some sort of, ‘Wait, what is that?’ but not, ‘Wait, what the hell is that?’ Mr. Rabah said. “There’s a big difference.”

Some in the Muslim community were equally startled, but for a different reason: The cars’ resemblance to New York City police cruisers stoked anxieties rather than allayed them.

Somia Elrowmeim, the adult education and women’s empowerment manager at the Arab American Association of New York, based in Bay Ridge, said a single misstep from the patrol could reflect poorly on the city’s entire Muslim community. She said more outreach to community leaders was essential before patrols began operating.

Until then, Ms. Elrowmeim, 34, offered this message: “We don’t want you near our community.”

The 68th Precinct, serving Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights, fielded a flurry of calls from concerned residents after the social media posts, leading police officials to hold an introductory meeting with Muslim Community Patrol members to discuss parameters: Call 911 if they encounter something suspicious, and take no enforcement action on their own. “We expect them to follow the law in general,” a Police Department spokesman said.

No date has been finalized for the start of patrols, Mr. Rabah said. Before the rollout, members will attend community board meetings to explain the patrol’s mission and to answer questions from residents. On Friday, the group met with members of the influential Arab American Association of New York, whose vice president, Habib Joudeh, had said he was not told about the patrol group until after the backlash prompted by the photo of the car.

“You have to inform people of what’s going on first,” Mr. Joudeh said.

Unlike the Shomrim, which patrols in vehicles and on foot, the Muslim patrol will operate only from patrol cars, Mr. Rabah said.

“We know our place: We are not cops,” he said. “We are simply patrollers for the community that also serve as the eyes and ears for the N.Y.P.D.”

Community patrols work in concert with the police, but are not sanctioned or regulated by the Police Department. “Safety is a shared responsibility with the community, so this is an opportunity for the community to help out and work together with the police,” Assistant Chief Conroy said in an interview.

Mr. Rabah, a funeral organizer for the Janazah Project, said the Muslim Community Patrol had been a long-held dream of his and others. A series of sensational 2016 attacks, including the murder of an imam and his assistant in Queens and an arson attack on a Muslim woman dressed in traditional garb in Manhattan, gave energy to their cause, he said.

New York City is home to an estimated 769,000 Muslims. They make up about 9 percent of the city’s population, but represent 22 percent of all Muslims living in the United States, according to Muslims for American Progress.

In 2017 in the city, there were 14 reported anti-Muslim bias incidents, according to the Police Department’s annual report. Last year, there were 14 bias-crime incidents recorded against Muslims during the first three quarters of the year, the most recent data available.

Afaf Nasher, executive director of the New York chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations, said the actual number of hate crimes is likely much higher, since bias attacks often go unreported. Still, she said she saw the community patrol as more than just a response to discrimination and attacks against Muslims; it was also reflective of a desire to participate and engage with society in deep, meaningful ways.

“Muslims in general have had an awakening,” Ms. Nasher said. “We see this movement across the board in which Muslims are thinking more conscientiously about how to give back.”

In 1988, a group of men from a Brooklyn mosque conducted foot patrols in Bedford-Stuyvesant in an effort to rid the community of crime and drugs, specifically crack cocaine. But CAIR officials said they believed the new Muslim patrol is the only group of its kind in the nation.

Huda Quhshi, the owner of Le’Jemalik Salon & Boutique in Bay Ridge, said she felt a “spark of happiness” when she saw a video of the patrol car on Instagram. The extra protection is welcome, she said, especially for women who wear hijabs — “walking billboards of a Muslim” — and are particularly vulnerable to harassment.

Ms. Quhshi, a 39-year-old native of Brooklyn who now lives in Queens, said she has not had problems while wearing a hijab, but her teenage daughter has.

“With everything going on, you sort of feel like the whole world is against Muslims,” she said. “So it feels good to know that there is someone there, watching out.”

Mr. Ali, who helped found Mercy Bakery, a nonprofit that runs bakeries and provides free loaves of bread to families in need, stressed that the goal was to serve the entire community, not only Muslims.

“I hope people just give us a chance,” he said.

This operation is a concern that needs to be watched, in my opinion. The USA has been increasingly infiltrated by the Muslim population in many ways. If you spend any time at all listening to various Muslim clerics, you will hear them say openly that the only choice is to convert to Islam – or die.

Some would say that it’s unfair to lump them all together, but if it’s not a concern for the “nice” ones, why is it that those “nice” ones don’t abandon the religion? Maybe because they know they’ll die if they’re discovered?

Supposedly the number of radicalized Muslims is relatively minuscule, but a statistic I saw recently reported the number of radicals in the USA to be more than 300,000. That is serious business! There was just a handful that flew the airplanes on 9/11, and a single person with a backpack full of explosives can kill many more than just one. In the same report, a comment was made addressing the “moderates.” The phrasing was something to the effect that even though the moderates won’t actively participate in the radical activities, they’ll “hold the coats” of the radicals as they commit the various atrocities.

The real red alert to which we should be paying attention is the fact that now we even have some who have managed to get elected into the highest legislative body in the country, the House of Representatives. The influence has now infiltrated even our uppermost levels of state and national government, and we must wake up before the takeover is completed. Nothing about Shari’a law is compatible with USA principles and way of life, and patriotic Americans really don’t want to live under such archaic and barbaric laws.

REPORT: Fact-Checking Alabama’s Latest Abortion Ban Bill – 9 Things We Should Know

We recently reported the new Alabama law banning abortion in the article Abortion Ban Law Signed Into Effect By Alabama’s Governor! It has been welcomed with open arms by many pro-life supporters. Conversely, the outcry from the “pro-choice” faction has been predictably dramatic, such as was staged by numerous Hollywood personalities which we reported in the article ‘This Ends with Impeachment and People in the Streets’ – Hollywood Stars Flip Out Over Alabama’s New Law.

In last week’s report, there was some mention made of details as to the bigger picture of the purpose of the bill, specifically to challenge Roe v. Wade. What follows expands on that report, and gives more of a step-by-step fact check of the issues connected to the new law.

This from Breitbart:

On Wednesday, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed what many consider the nation’s strictest abortion law, which makes any physician performing an abortion guilty of a felony in almost all cases.

The exception would be when a pregnancy poses “a serious health risk to the unborn child’s mother.”

As expected, the national media have been critical of the Alabama law and have given little attention to the Alabama legislature’s goal, which is to challenge the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision by establishing personhood for a baby inside the womb.

With personhood, the Constitution affords certain rights and protections, as explained by the bill’s sponsor in the Alabama Senate, Sen. Clyde Chambliss (R-Prattville).

“The way that this bill is drafted – it goes to ask the question of personhood,” Chambliss said during an interview Thursday on Huntsville radio’s WVNN. “The 14th Amendment gives people, a person the right to life, liberty and property. But it doesn’t say when a person becomes a person. Obviously, if somebody is walking around, we know that’s a person. In the womb, do we know if that is a person or not? Unborn babies can hear, they can feel – at what point can they hear and feel and think and feel pain.”

“And so, we need some guidance,” he continued. “We need some guidance. We need some guidance from the Supreme Court. So this bill has been drafted so that it goes directly to that question. It goes to the Supreme Court, hopefully. And we do expect it to be ruled unconstitutional at the lower court. It has to be. It has no choice because they have to follow Supreme Court precedent. That’s no surprise. We know that’s going to happen. We know that will be found unconstitutional on appeal, but hopefully, we’ll have the Supreme Court to take up the matter. And we hope and we feel that the Supreme Court will rule this law constitutional because it gets to that personhood issue that is so, so important.”

With that in mind, there are still questions regarding the politics and the legal reasoning behind the law.

1 – Why was this passed now and not when the makeup of the Supreme Court actually shifts in a direction to overturn Roe or until after the 2020 election?

This is the first year of a quadrennium, which is the first year of a term for members of the Alabama legislature. Traditionally, big-ticket items are passed in the first year’s legislative session, which began in March.

Given the expected controversy of the issue, the leadership in the Republican-led Alabama legislature perhaps saw this as the best time politically to move on the bill, given voters will have moved on by the 2022 legislative and gubernatorial elections.

The next best possibility for Alabama’s legislature to pass such a law might not have come until 2023. Given that these cases take years to work themselves through the federal court system, the Supreme Court might not get to it until 2025 or 2026. By then, the Supreme Court might not be as favorable for conservatives.

2 – The lack of an exception in the cases of rape and incest seems extreme. Why wasn’t that included?

The purpose of the law is to challenge the Supreme Court’s 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision by establishing a baby in the womb as a person. If exceptions are added for cases of rape and incest, then it contradicts the argument, according to the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Terri Collins (R-Decatur).

“The reasoning is the same reasoning, Roe v. Wade was decided that the baby in the womb was not a person,” Collins said at an event in Huntsville, AL before the bill’s passage. “So this bill bases its reasoning that the baby in the womb is a person. And we based it on the fact that in Alabama law, we currently consider the baby in the womb a person. If you were a drunk driver and you killed a pregnant woman, you have a double homicide on your hands. We voted as a state to be a pro-life state.”

Adding the exception for rape and incest could negate the argument that the baby in the womb is a person, she argued.

“The biggest thing to attack it with is to say, ‘What, you’re not going to include rape and incest?’” Collins said. “Well, how do we say, ‘The baby inside is a person unless they’re conceived in rape or incest’? If that amendment was to get on the bill, then I’ll kill the bill because it won’t go to the Supreme Court. It will contradict itself.

3 – Gov. Ivey said in her statement that this might not even be enforceable. So why was it passed?

The intention of the bill is not meant to be enforceable according to its proponents, but a legal challenge to Roe v. Wade and force the court to rule definitively on the personhood status of the baby in the womb.

4 – Would Alabama women be arrested under this law if they procured an abortion in another state?

No. As written, the law makes the activities of abortion physician illegal. The state of Alabama would not have jurisdiction of what takes places in other states.

5 – Does this bill imprison women who induced abortion on themselves?

No. Its sole focus is on the provider.

6 – Does it make it a felony for women, or just the abortion provider?

Just the provider.

7 – Would this make it illegal for a person to prescribe the Morning-After pill since one would only take that if they thought they were pregnant, and this bill makes abortion illegal from the moment a woman suspects she’s pregnant?

The Morning-After pill, as prescribed, is legally considered birth control and not a form of abortion.

“The decision was based on someone in utero, someone pregnant so we don’t get into conception. We don’t get into birth control,” Collins explained. “We don’t get into the morning-after pill, but in utero, which is the language they used that when a woman is pregnant. This bill criminalizes abortion through the doctor. And not the woman, but the doctor.”

8 – What makes this bill different from so-called “heartbeat” bills passed in other states, like Georgia?

Georgia’s law bans abortions after a physician is able to detect “a fetal heartbeat in the womb.” That can usually be at six weeks, which is before many women realize they are pregnant. In Alabama’s law, doctors cannot perform an abortion once a fetus is “in utero.”

9 – Does this bill make it harder for pro-lifers to win in 2020?

That perhaps depends on the precinct. The block of voters many political watchers fear will be turned off by the Alabama law are suburban women.

However, given the controversial actions of the New York State legislature, and the statement of Gov. Ralph Northam (D-VA), the issue has made somewhat of a comeback.

Although Democrats may attempt to weaponize the state of Alabama’s actions politically, it will force the future Democratic presidential nominee to answer to questions about their party’s view on the issue.

Abortion is a get-out-the-vote hot-button issue for both parties, and one would have to assume it would have been at the forefront with or without the actions of the Alabama legislature.

Source: Breitbart News

I happen to be one of those who support the new law. I believe it’s long overdue. When Roe v. Wade was handed down, to a certain degree, people could claim ignorance of what happens in a woman’s womb. With today’s advances in medical scans and the like, there is no room left for those who claim that the baby inside is just a “clump of cells” or has the same significance as a tumor. Another widely accepted fact is that the body of the child is an entirely separate entity from the body of the mother. All of the baby’s systems are totally separate from the mother, and DNA samples prove conclusively that each is a totally independent person.

This website owes its existence to the man, David J Harris Jr, and his passionate support of the right to life of the unborn. Those of us who work with him support him fully in this matter, and we hope to find others sympathetic to the cause of preserving life in the womb. If you share our conviction, we ask that you use the information and details of the things we share here to help our great nation turn from its wicked ways and return to the original principles and patterns laid out for us first of all in the Holy Bible and then by the Constitution of these United States. The corruption and depravity that has been sown into our great country must be rooted out, and to ban abortion would be a massive step in the right direction. Please share these articles with friends and neighbors. The task is enormous, but together we can Make America Great Again.

CNN’s Fake News Anchor Jim Acosta Spreads Misquote from Trump Immigration Speech

Jim Acosta continued to ride his perch atop the Fake News chariot by deliberately misquoting a part of President Trump’s immigration speech this past Thursday and then spreading the misinformation as fact. (You can see our report of the event and watch the video of President Trump’s presentation in the article President Trump Announces Details Of Merit-Based Immigration Reform.)

This from Breitbart:

CNN’s chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Thursday misquoted a portion of President Donald Trump’s immigration speech and was quickly met with a fact-check by a Breitbart News reporter.

Speaking in the Rose Garden, President Donald Trump unveiled immigration reform proposals aimed at increasing the quota for skilled workers. During his remarks, the president assailed some asylum seekers’ abuses of the country’s immigration system. “Our nation has a proud history of affording protection to those fleeing government persecutions. Unfortunately, legitimate asylum seekers are being displaced by those lodging frivolous claims,” he said.

Acosta promptly accused the president of portraying all asylum claims as unmerited, misquoting him on social media: “Trump in Rose Garden speech paints asylum seekers with broad brush accusing them of misleading immigration authorities at border: ‘These are frivolous claims.’”

Moments later, Breitbart News White House correspondent Charlie Spiering replied directly to Acosta by sharing President Trump’s full quote, which highlighted that “legitimate asylum seekers are being displaced by those lodging frivolous claims.”

Acosta did not acknowledge that he had misquoted the president after Spiering’s correction.

As Breitbart News’ John Binder reported, foreign nationals seeking asylum in the U.S. evade immediate deportation after claiming credible fear in 88 percent of cases, according to the Department of Justice. Yet, only 50 percent of the foreign nationals who evade immediate deportation by claiming credible fear end up filing for asylum status following there released into the country.

Source: Breitbart News

It’s one of those times when one has to wonder where Acosta really stands. Is he really that ignorant to think people won’t notice, or is he just being a puppet who does and says whatever the puppetmasters behind the scenes command?

It reminds me of the saying that defines insanity as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different outcome or result. He’s been banging his head against the Trump wall for over two years, yet he keeps running into dead ends, or worse yet, vying for the top spot with AOC for saying dumb things.

For now, it seems all we can do is sit back and watch the fireworks and wait for him to step into another pile of doo-doo.

CAIR is Calling the Shots? They’re Openly Threatening to Silence and De-platform Critics

Social media seems to be in the pocket of the Left, along with broadcast media. Any content that is deemed by the left to be too conservative (even if the speaker is telling the absolute truth) is targeted for removal, and the originator is likely to be banned from the platform without recourse. We saw a lot of shadow-banning and other situations in which conservative reporters and pundits were severely censored around last year’s midterm elections, but even though we are over a year away from the 2020 election cycle their banning and censoring is ramping up to levels not previously seen. What makes it particularly alarming is that some of the most radical of the groups who align themselves with the left’s agenda are openly rejoicing over silencing conservative voices.

This from TGP

The liberal media and far left groups claim Joey is far right or alt-right. Gibson supports a pathway to citizenship for non-criminal illegal immigrants. He supports decriminalization of marijuana, and same-sex marriage.[18] Gibson advocates for establishment of term limits for the U.S. Congress, implementation of a national sales tax, and abolition of the Internal Revenue Service. Joey is Irish and Japanese.

This weekend the Council for Islamic Relations, Oregon Chapter celebrated after joey Gibson was banned from Stripe. He can no longer accept credit card donations through the donations website.

CAIR, Oregon cheered the news and celebrated its efforts to ban Joey Gibson from making a living.

CAIR was reportedly behind the banning of other conservatives including Laura Loomer from Twitter.

According to the Center for Security Policy CAIR is a front for the Hamas terrorist group. But for some reason CAIR has more clout with the tech giants than conservative Americans.

This is reprehensible!
The radical group campaigns companies to ban conservatives and then openly celebrates when they are banned.

This seems a bit strange to most Americans for a religious group.

How the hell did this happen in America?

Michelle Malkin weighed in on the gloating by this sick and twisted group they cheers the silencing of Americans!

Source: The Gateway Pundit

Sometimes I think there are too many Americans who still have their heads in the sand when it comes to how determined the practitioners of sharia are to erase the presence of all “infidels” and achieve total domination over the USA. In all honesty, it’s really only been since Donald Trump assumed his position in the Oval Office that I got more interested in politics and national affairs. I could see that the country was dominated by the left’s ideology and morals, but felt somewhat helpless when it came to having any influence to facilitate change.

Since becoming acquainted with David Harris Jr., however, I’ve been handed an opportunity to speak up and add my agreement to his observations. We hope that any of you who see these articles will share them with your friends and neighbors. Enough of us banded together can defeat the enemy and join our president to help Make America Great Again!
