Nancy Pelosi Stabs Trump On World Stage, Tells Climate Summit ‘We Are Still In’ Paris Agreement

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of David Harris Jr.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi disrespected President Donald Trump again only this time on the world stage at a climate summit on Monday, vowing that Congress would urgently take on global warming despite the president’s opposition to an international pact.

“By coming here we want to say to everyone we are still in, the United States is still in,” Pelosi told reporters on the first day of the two-week United Nations climate talks in Spain.

Um, now we are not.  Treaties and international agreements are negotiated by the President, not Congress.

Many governments freaked out when the United States, a.k.a. The Great Wallet, began formal proceedings, urged by Trump last month, to pull the US out of the 2015 Paris Agreement.

Trump says complying with the accord would hurt the US economy, something the globalists care very little about, by restricting domestic producers while other big polluters such as China increase their own emissions.

Pelosi is an expert at playing political games, and this one is where she is assuming everyone knows she is working on impeaching Trump, and this way she’s trying to relay the message that Trump won’t matter anymore, and that the Democrats will be running the show soon.

She has a rude awakening if the fact that Democrats are being slaughtered in their home districts as we speak for the nonsense they’ve been pulling since they took over the House majority.

“Our delegation is here to send a message that Congress’s commitment to take action on the climate crisis is iron clad,” Pelosi said with a group of Democratic Congressional representatives on either side.

Pelosi kept a straight face when she said the reason she made the decision to visit Madrid during the impeachment hearings was to show that the Democrats are committed to taking on the “existential threat to humanity” from the climate crisis, even though there’s never been any empirical evidence it even exists outside of computer models.

I’m a software engineer in another life, and I can tell you right now that I can write a program to say whatever the person paying me wants it to say, but I can’t produce empirical evidence, which is why there are so many people who believe the whole climate change thing is nothing but a load of bunk.

“We aren’t here to talk about impeachment of the President of the United States,” Pelosi said in a calculated response to a question.

“We’re here to talk positively about our agenda to save the planet for future generations.”

I call people like Pelosi watermelons.  They are green on the outside and socialist red on the inside.  The entire climate change deal is a socialist hoax on the world to convince taxpayers that they have to pay higher and higher taxes to fight to save the planet.

The-sky-is-falling squads have been telling us the same doom-and-gloom nonsense for decades, and as each doomsday prediction deadline comes and goes, they just move on to the next deadline without ever taking questions on why their last prediction never came true.  It’s the same patter every time, and yet these politicians think you’re too stupid to notice.

Pelosi has a lot of gall to do what she did.

The president has the Constitutional authority to enter or decline treaties.  The Senate has Constitutional authority of “advice and consent,” while the House has zero, zip, nada, goose egg, no authority whatsoever where treaties are concerned.

Someone should send Pelosi a pocket Constitution as a Christmas gift.
