House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) punched back at some of the most boisterous freshman Democrats in Congress when asked Monday about the push to impeach President Trump: “We’ve got 62 New Democrat members. Not three,” he said, obviously referring to Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) of Michigan and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who have regularly have fought the Trump administration’s policies since entering Congress with more vocal vigor than the rest.

Earlier in the day, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that she is against impeachment in the absence of evidence that is “compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan.”

I’m not for impeachment,” Pelosi told The Washington Post in an interview published Monday. “Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

Ocasio-Cortez, the puppet of Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, replied in a Washington Examiner interview, saying “I happen to disagree with that take.” She added, “But you know, she’s the speaker. … I think we’ll see.”

Of Pelosi’s words, Hoyer also said, “It seems to me that she said what we’ve been saying. Maybe a little stronger.”

Taking a pragmatic approach, Hoyer also said that any attempt in the House would die in the Senate because the Senate requires 67 votes to remove the president and, “Nobody thinks there is going to be a conviction in the Senate.”

Tlaib said she would introduce articles of impeachment against Trump later this month. She and Omar last month signed a “pledge” to impeach Trump.

The amazing thing about all of this is outside of doing Herculean Olympic-style stretching to find a reason for impeachment; there is no legitimate case for impeaching Donald Trump.  You cannot impeach a president because you really, really, really want to do it.  Hatred of a president’s policies is also not a valid reason.  I’ve read just about every reason given so far by a wide variety of Democrats and leftists, and though the Trump haters are rabid in their belief that they have something to go on, they all fall far short of anything that the country would look at and agree that the president has to go.

The truth of the matter is many Democrats want to see Trump go away because he is destroying the progressive world they worked very hard to build for many years.  Their progressive world left us with a dying economy, and the progressive way of dealing with it was how we should manage our decline.  Their progressive world knocked race relations back 50 years.  Their progressive world created a situation where sweetheart deals were made to benefit the global community at the expense of American citizens whose jobs went overseas with those sweetheart deals.  And they told us all along that manufacturing in America died and was not coming back.  They told us the coal industry was out, and that those who were affected by the decades of disastrous policies should just learn to code to make ends meet.

Donald Trump came along, and in under two years has enforced policies that have brought manufacturing jobs back, while at the same time, after overhauling bad trade and tax policies of past administrations, made it worth a company’s interest to open up shop in America again.  Progressives are sitting back scratching their heads and wondering just what the hell happened?

Trump’s policies emphasize growth and freedom on an individual citizens’ level while progressive Democrats are still stuck with identity politics and trying to convince the country that top-down government control, which hasn’t ever worked anywhere in history, is what’s best for those individual Americas.  Thanks, but no thanks.

Those are the reasons Pelosi is against impeaching Trump.  She may be kooky, but she’s not stupid.  She knows you don’t remove a popular president, especially when you don’t have a legitimate reason to do so. But the new crop of progressives in her party hasn’t learned that lesson yet.

My book is here!  And I personally handed a copy to our President at the White House!!! I hope you enjoy it !
