The deranged NeverTrumper George Will is exasperated that this president has brought common sense to the White House, abandoned the establishment ruling elite, and handed the country back to the people the way the Founding Fathers meant it to be. That was their dream…but Will’s nightmare. After Donald Trump won the nomination to represent the GOP, NeverTrumper Will left the Republican Party (good riddance) and wrote articles instructing people not to vote for Trump because he would be much worse than Hillary. The voters didn’t listen to him. They see the revival of this country (and especially our economy) coming to life.
At the beginning of The Post piece, Will refers to “the carnage of Republican misrule in Washington” and “the family-shredding policy along the southern border.” He calledPresident Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy “the most telegenic example of misrule.”
Will goes on to rip House Speaker Paul Ryan, saying the Speaker “sold his soul…for a tax cut,” and was one of “the president’s poodles.”
Next, Will gave scathing rebukes of White House advisor Stephen Miller and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, for their starring roles in the recent public debates over separating immigrant children from their families at the U.S. border.
In ending his column, Will writes that his readers (Both of them?) should vote for the Democrats and return this country to the moral basis it was on under Obama. That’s not exactly what he said, but that would be the result. Does anyone believe Hillary would be better than the president we have now? Would she have cut taxes? Cut Regulations? Dumped the Paris Accord? Brought Kim Jong-un to the bargaining table? Dumped the TPP, which stripped this country of it’s sovereignty?
