On Tuesday, Special counsel Robert Mueller filed his long-awaited sentencing memo regarding his criminal case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn and recommended he not receive any prison time after providing prosecutors with “substantial assistance.”
That’s awfully nice of him, considering the man never lied to the FBI, and his life has been destroyed by the witch hunt. We reported that fired and disgraced former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe altered fired and disgraced former FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s 302 document (a felony) to make it appear that Flynn lied when interviewed by Strzok. Peter Strzok told McCabe and fired and disgraced former FBI Director James Comey that he believed Flynn was being truthful during his interview.
This is the disgusting nature of Robert Mueller and his special counsel team. If you don’t have anything for them that will help them prove their case, even when there is nothing to give, they will play games with you to create what is called a “process crime” and hold the penalty of prison and fines over you, until you give them what they want, even if you lie about it.
We recently reported on Jerome Corsi, author and political activist, and how he claims that Mueller recently asked him to lie and commit witness tampering.
We will probably never see Mueller or any of the other cast of government bullies involved in this stuff be charged with this travesty of justice. They are a disgrace.
“Given the defendant’s substantial assistance and other considerations set forth below, a sentence at the low end of the guideline range—including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration—is appropriate and warranted,” the filing reads. According to the document, Flynn participated in 19 interviews with investigators with the Office of the Special Counsel or Department of Justice, wherein the former Trump official gave “first-hand” information about communications between Trump transition team members and Russian officials while assisting with a previously unknown “criminal investigation.”
However, federal sentencing guidelines recommend Flynn be sentenced up to six months in jail and face a fine of up to $9,500.
“The offense level and guideline range, however, does not account for a downward departure pursuant to Section 5K1.1 of the United States Sentencing Guidelines reflecting the defendant’s substantial assistance to the government, which the government has moved for contemporaneously,” the memo states.
