CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta upped his ante and took his war with the White House to the next level by traveling to the U.S.-Mexico border to do a selfie video report claiming there is no “national emergency” at the border.
“I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation… at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today,” said Acosta. He then declared there was “no sign of the national emergency that the president has been talking about” and it was “tranquil” near him.

If ignorance were blessed, Jim Acosta would be a saint.
Saturday Night Live now has a choice for their opening bit this weekend having to decide between Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi’s mannequin-like response to President Trump’s presidential address, and this reporting piece by Acosta.
The CNN reporter added, “There are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence.”
There are no migrants where the pinhead was filming because there’s a barrier wall right in front of him. I can’t wait for his breaking news story about the Vatican electing a Catholic as Pope.
Is this man really that obtuse?
The bit piece was so bad that early Thursday evening White House Press Secretary Sara Sanders trolled the CNN activist by retweeting his tweet and praising him for finally doing a good job.
“When I went with President @realDonaldTrump to the border today I never imagined @Acosta would be there doing our job for us and so clearly explaining why WALLS WORK. Thanks Jim!”

But, Acosta is known for doing hard-line reporting like this to do an in-your-face with White House administrations. Do you remember the time when Jim Acosta reported on Barack Obama lying about being able to keep your doctor and your plan? Yeah, neither do I. This entire stunt was done to attack President Trump, and it backfired on him. CNN should be ashamed for keeping this guy on the air.
Media watchdogs are on the job, and they were quick to point out that Acosta’s video actually proves Trump’s point that a wall or barrier along the Southern border could help prevent illegal border crossings. Honestly, what was he thinking?
Social media strategist Caleb Hull chimed in.
“Jim Acosta just posted one of the biggest self owns ever.” ‘He’s walking along the border where there’s a wall in place talking about how there’s nothing that ‘resembles a national emergency situation’ and ‘there’s no migrants trying to rush.’ That’s because there’s a wall, Jim.”
Others swiping at Acosta included one of his former CNN colleagues Peter Hamby.

President Trump is expected to meet with local and federal officials Thursday; hearing first-hand accounts of the ongoing crisis taking place along the United States’ southern border with Mexico.
My book is here! And I personally handed a copy to our President at the White House!!! I hope you enjoy it @realDonaldTrump!
