For some reason, this hit me really hard.  I have a nine-month-old German Shepherd. He’s my second, and we all know how helpful and loyal a good dog can be.

Oh, man!

Who’s cutting onions around here?

Sully joined the Bush family about a year ago to give President George H W Bush some extra help:

Sully H.W. Bush, a yellow Labrador service dog who worked with the late former President George H.W. Bush, will accompany the president one last time as he travels with the  casket on his flight to Washington, DC, according to a source familiar with the plans.

What a good-looking pooch.

Sully helped HW vote this year:

As a highly trained service dog, Sully will now go back into service to help other veterans as soon as he completes his end of watch.  He is likely to go to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.  Sully was trained by America’s VetDogs and developed his own huge following on Instagram.

America’s VetDogs is a charity that provides service dogs to veterans, active-duty service members and first responders with disabilities.  Service dogs are wildly popular because of the benefits they provide by helping those in their care.  Plus, who couldn’t love a dog?
