Whether celebrating or grieving, Bette Midler, George Takei and others in Hollyweird managed to have a collective meltdown on Tuesday night, with an emphasis on collective.
Some Hollywood leftists were celebrating Tuesday night, while others were their usual miserable selves.
Some of Trump’s biggest critics in Tinsel Town became really frustrated after candidates they backed with gobbles of money and endorsements galore still lost their races.
Actress and singer Bette Midler tweeted over news that Ted Cruz (R-TX) was reelected by winning his Texas Senate seat in a race against challenger Robert O’Rourke with a simple, “Ugh.”

Other stars did their best to help O’Rourke lose with some dignity by adoring him like the Kennedy that he is not.
“Thank you @BetoORourke (SLURP) for tirelessly connecting with every county and the diverse communities of incredible humans that make up the state of Texas and inspiring not only the state, but the entire country. (SLURP) We all cannot wait to see what you do next,” slurped “Lord of the Rings” star Elijah Wood on Twitter in reaction to O’Rourke’s loss. (Slurps added.)

“Let’s all raise a glass to Beto. A good man,” wrote “Big Sick” actor Kumail Nanjiani.

Too bad Beto raised one glass too many on that fateful night that he drove drunk into a truck and then tried to flee the accident, only to be stopped by a reporter who happened to be driving by.
“Star Trek” actor George Takei seemed to start celebrating a little early about the prospects of President Trump being impeached.
“Dear Mr. Trump: ‘Subpoena’ is a tricky word to spell, and an even trickier thing to beat. Cheers!” the leftist actor wrote.

Actress Patricia Arquette sounded off in support of loser Andrew Gillum in Florida.
“Don’t concede. Make them count every single vote. Please,” she wrote.
@staceyabrams Do not concede. With all of those shenanigans… make them count every vote.

The irony is that most Hollywood leftists become leftists because they want to be loved by other leftists. Think about it. They work maybe six months a year on a project and get paid millions of dollars. Meanwhile, real people who work jobs that are tens times harder will never know that kind of luxury, so the celebrities think they will be given a pass for being filthy rich if they support all the left-wing causes and politicians that liberals support. The irony is that the celebrities are supporting leftist politicians whose policies almost always end up making the people’s lives so much more difficult and miserable by causing jobs to go away, salaries to decline, and division among the people. This is why Hollywood leftists are even more make believe than the characters they portray.
