Like the herpes virus, Hillary Clinton seems to never go away. After the longest book tour in modern-day history, where she blamed everyone with a pulse for her epic loss to Donald Trump, it appeared that Clinton was going to be a permanent fixture in the news. And there are rumors now that she is secretly planning a 2020 run… for the White House, not the restroom.
A former campaign strategist for the two-time presidential wannabe loser threw cold water on those flaming rumors that she was considering another run for the White House Monday, arguing that her former boss would more-than-likely finish in third place during the Democratic primaries.
Adrienne Elrod, a longtime Clinton adviser, was asked to comment on whether the former Secretary of State was thinking about another run at the Oval Office and setting the stage for a potential rematch against President Donald Trump.
From The Hill:
“It’s silly. It’s a pipe dream. I mean, look, she’s made it very clear that after this last run she’s done,” Elrod, who served as Clinton’s strategic communications director, told Hill TV’s Buck Sexton and Krystal Ball on “Rising.” “It’s time for new faces to come in,” she added.
“To be honest with you, I don’t know that a run this time around would yield a first or second-place finish. I think there’s a lot of new people in the party who are stepping forward. I think we’ve got a very deep bench of strong candidates and she knows this,” she said.
“I would advise against her running, not because I don’t think she’s qualified. Of course she is, but I think that she knows it’s time for faces and new leadership to step forward,” she added.
What the mainstream media isn’t telling you about this is judging by Trump’s rising approval numbers, along with all of the leading economic indicators looking really good (thanks to the hard work the Trump administration has done to turn the economy around), the country is done with old-school Democrat politicians who don’t keep promises and who work hard to Make American Broken Again. At this point the Democratic Party has no one who can beat Trump and his organization in 2020. Never underestimate the power of the Republican Party to screw things up, but at this point in time Donald Trump is a shoo-in for re-election.
