The FBI kept telling us that no one was able to access Hillary’s private email server. Would you be surprised to find out that was a lie? I wasn’t. Fox news obtained records ahead of DOJ IG Michael Horowitz’s testimony before congress next week and they found that someone did indeed access Hillary’s server and at least one classified document was stolen. That document was labeled “SECRET.”
The memo does not say who the foreign actors are, or what material was obtained, but it notes that secret information is defined as information that, if disclosed, could “reasonably be expected to cause serious damage to the national security.”
The committees say that no one appears to have been held accountable either criminally or administratively.
Relatedly, Fox News has obtained a May 2016 email from FBI investigator Peter Strzok — who also is criticized in the House memo for his anti-Trump texts with colleague Lisa Page. The email says that “we know foreign actors obtained access” to some Clinton emails, including at least one “secret” message “via compromises of the private email accounts” of Clinton staffers.
This changes the game greatly and puts Hillary dead on the spot for her illegal server use. This type of breach is exactly why the Espionage Act was written. Allowing the country’s deepest secrets to be stolen is not a minor thing and Hillary should be made to pay the price so no other corrupt politician ever does it again.
Peter Strzok is also deeply involved as he was told there was an irregularity in the megadata which seemed to suggest a breach but he did no investigation of the matter, possibly to keep from hurting Hillary’s chances of being elected.
In the House memos, they suggested that both the FBI and the DOJ intentionally or unintentionally misinterpreted the Espionage Act. Comey claimed it required intent but the law reads as such that careless handling makes you eqully guilty.
