Naturally, Mother’s Day in 2019 is no less subject to wokeness assaults from corporate pandermerica than any other day of the year, so in a sense it should be no surprise that a company would do something off-key and inexplicable to “celebrate” the day.
But even so, Nabisco’s Chips Ahoy! brand caught some people by surprise when they chose to send their message to moms by way of reality TV contestant Jose Cancel, who goes by the stage names Vanessa Vanjie Mateoz or Miss Vanjie, in an in-your-face video explaining how you don’t have to be a mom to be a mom or something.

So confused about this. Why is a chocolate chip cookie on Twitter? Who would follow it and why (and how obese do you have to be)? What do cookies have to do with mothers day? And what do drag queens have to do with that? And how does that lead to sales of a kids food item? https://t.co/bjEaRw4efV
