The Boy Scouts Move Further Off Their Values Based Mission And Mormons Say Buh-Bye

Here’s the Boy Scout Mission as posted on their Site.

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

And the Boy Scout Law:

A Scout is:

Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent

Those of us with Eagle Scouts are crying a little tear today at the lack of intestinal fortitude of the scout organization to stand up to politically correct pressure from the leftists. But the Mormons aren’t caving to the liberal wave.

The Salt Lake Tribune wasted no time in getting this story out.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is ending its more than century-old relationship with the Boy Scouts of America and will create new youth programs for its members.

The church announced Tuesday evening that it will sever ties with the organization, effective Dec. 31, 2019, according to a news release. The church said it’s making the change to better serve its worldwide congregation.

“As a global church with millions of children and youth, we need to address diverse needs and fortify all children and youth with gospel-centered growth and learning experiences now more than ever,” the church said in a joint statement with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).

How do you keep yourself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight when you readily abandon your foundational principles? I wonder if that’s a question the Mormons are asking as they exit the Boy Scouts organization.
