Please Enjoy A Bit Of POV From Elder P, Our Man In The Arena – From where I sit, MSNBC’s Morning Joe has devolved into an unwatchable, neverending trashing of President Trump. The more outlandish the charges potential guests can levy against Trump, the more likely they are to be featured on the show.
Enter William Floyd Weld, who is currently running for the Republican nomination for president. Weld has been kicking around politics for three + decades. For the last 22 years, he’s been a third-tier candidate with no chance of winning an election.
Losing, especially losing while launching deranged verbal attacks on your opponents, must pay well.
In a city that has been plunged into mass psychosis by the successful policies of Donald Trump, that have proven Washington has long ago seemingly turned into a massive scheme to redirect taxpayer monies and public policy to benefit both parties largest donors, Weld decided to trump everyone when he told Mika and Joe:

Bill Weld: Talk about pressuring a foreign country to interfere with and control a US election? It couldn’t be clearer. It’s not just undermining democratic institutions.
That is treason. It’s treason pure and simple, and the penalty for treason is death.
Keep in mind that Weld seems to be ignoring the report from CNN that the so-called whistleblower had no direct knowledge of the phone call in question.
(CNN) The whistleblower didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN. Instead, the whistleblower’s concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration’s determination that the complaint didn’t fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.
In other words, there’s likely no “there,” there.
So like the rest of Washington’s political careerists who are desperate to preserve the gravy train of corporate and foreign money they receive for selling our national security and our economic opportunity, Weld wants Trump out — by any means necessary.
It doesn’t matter to Weld that the facts, as I understand them, likely do not support the charge of treason. At least not against President Trump.
Or that the current Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, Michael K. Atkinson, was previously the Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ-NSD) at the time when that department was allegedly the epicenter of the Destroy Trump movement.
Has Atkinson become aware that the current investigations of the DOJ/IG and U.S. Attorney John Durham are closing in on identifying his role in that treasonous scheme, and is now throwing up roadblocks before the truth is revealed?
This is the way our intel agencies protect themselves and the corruption that surrounds them. Remember when Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told Rachel Maddow this:
“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community they have six ways to Sunday in getting back at you.”
“From what I understand they are very upset with how he [Trump] has treated them and talked about them.”
Whatever happened to the old mantra, “let’s wait until all the facts are in?” The new rules seem to be aimed to crush Trump before he exposes their corruption. But hey, this is all just, like, my opinion, man.
