The Lincoln Project is a vicious group of Never Trumpers who are leaders in their political community of failed GOP campaign strategists. Many are pundits who were never able to reinvent themselves after President Donald J. Trump made it to the White House.

“John Weaver, the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, faces sexually suggestive harassment allegations from at least 21 young men. The project released the following statement,” the Lincoln Project posted, in an attempt to distance themselves from their leader.

The Lincoln Project wants you to believe they are the ones who were abused:

The group is known for their bombastic, abusive, and crazy personal attacks of Trump, his administration, and any American supporter of Trump’s America First agenda.

The Lincoln Project has continued its crusade against Trump in their media outlet connections like “The Daily Beast” and other left-leaning news outlets, even while being scrutinized for corrupt financial dealings, including fraud because the group claims to be disgruntled Republicans.

According to the American mind article:

“The clock is running out on NeverTrump, the wee coalition of alleged “conservatives” who for the past five years have dedicated their time, energy, and Twitter accounts to the annihilation of Donald Trump and everyone around him.

Despite their best efforts, with help from a similarly vengeful and vindictive Democratic Party, NeverTrump so far has failed in its seek-and-destroy mission. The president, a political escape artist of the highest order, has so far stunned NeverTrump and its allies by surviving their every scheme.”

Now the group’s leader faces sexual harassment allegations, leading people to wonder exactly what the problem is with the members of this nasty group of people.

“It winds up that the ‘Lincoln Project’ was just a giant bath-house. That’s how they kept the discipline there,” one poster said in reaction to the announcement.

The New York Times reported on the matter:

“John Weaver, a longtime G.O.P. operative who advised John McCain and John Kasich, made sexual overtures to young men, sometimes offering to help them get work in politics.

John Weaver, a longtime Republican strategist and co-founder of the prominent anti-Trump group the Lincoln Project, has for years sent unsolicited and sexually provocative messages online to young men, often while suggesting he could help them get work in politics, according to interviews with 21 men who received them.

His solicitations included sending messages to a 14-year-old, asking questions about his body while still in high school, and then more pointed ones after turning 18.

These messages from Mr. Weaver, 61, who helped run John McCain’s presidential campaigns in 2000 and 2008 and John Kasich’s in 2016, did not lead to physical encounters except in one consensual case, and none of the men accused Mr. Weaver of unlawful conduct. Rather, many of them described feeling preyed upon by an influential older man in the field in which they wanted to work, and believing they had to engage with his repeated messaging or lose a professional opportunity?”

Donald Trump Jr. accurately points out that the Lincoln Project picks out terrible friends.
