The controversy swirling around the bogus impeachment proceedings that Speaker Pelosi dropped on the world like a bombshell a few days ago has taken on a life of its own, as you might expect. Impeachment is certainly a big deal, but it has to follow established rules and protocol guidelines, and I think Pelosi has broken pretty much every one of the things that were past practice.
President Trump was charged with engaging in a quid pro quo deal with Ukrainian President Zelensky, but once the transcript was released, it was obvious the whole charge was a nothingburger. Since then, much of the conversation has been directed towards the real quid pro quo maestro, Joe Biden, who is continuing to wallow in the assertations that he has done nothing wrong in spite of the mountain of evidence to the contrary.
President Trump has been amassing somewhat of an army of “big guns” lawyers, including Trey Gowdy and Rudy Giuliani, whose records as prosecutors are beyond reproach. Rudy has been perhaps the most visible, giving numerous video interviews. He recently explained why he went after the corruption he saw in the Biden family dealings in Ukraine.
From the Daily Caller
President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who is at the center of the Ukraine scandal, sat down with the Daily Caller’s Stephanie Hamill for an exclusive one-hour interview.
Giuliani explained in detail why he took matters into his own hands trying to expose the Biden’s alleged corrupt business deals in Ukraine.
He told the Caller that he lacked faith in the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2018, and claimed that the alleged witnesses actually attempted to get information to the government agency and the Department of Justice, but says they were ignored.
“They concluded that Hillary Clinton and the Democrats were still running the FBI, and that it was as crooked as it was under Clinton. I made a promise that I would investigate it myself, develop the corroboration so then no one could tear it apart afterwards,” Giuliani explained.
