On December 6th, several dozen Christian leaders gathered for a Faith Briefing at the White House, and Dove-award winner Kari Jobe was among those in the group.
Speaking of the experience, she said it left her in “tears all day.”
She said she was touched to “see what God’s doing in our White House.”
Kari and her husband shared their experience in a short video, which the White House then posted to Twitter.
She said, “The thing that moved me the most is how everyone is so for making sure we’re changing people’s lives and not leaving those that are marginalized and those that have been trafficked.”
“I think those of us that don’t work in the White House, it can look really big and something that we can’t really end, but they are working to end these things.
I’ve just been in tears all day. I’m so thankful to be part of this today and see what God’s doing in our White House.”
Her husband chimed in on the subject, agreeing with her. His comments singled out both the prayers offered for Trump and on his behalf and also the worship.
He said,“I’ve been so encouraged today because there’s so many good things happening out of this house. So many good things for the faith community.”

London-based Premier News reported that participants met the president in the Oval Office, and also prayed in the Cabinet room. When was the last time you heard of such an open attitude towards Christian ministers and artists displayed by ANY president?
Several others present were Bethel worship leader Sean Feucht (who, by the way, has thrown his hat in the ring, running for Congress in California), Pastor Paula White, Hillsong Pastor Brian Houston, and no less than Vice President Mike Pence, who tweeted “Wonderful stopping by a worship leaders briefing today at the @WhiteHouse!”
Pence also shared a photo of the group, and said, “America is a proud Nation of believers and our Administration will always defend the freedom of religion of every American, of every faith!”

In an Instagram post, Sean Feucht also talked about the sense of grace, peace and hope in the gathering at the White House.
He wrote, “On the outdoor steps, the hallways and the rooms of the White House today (including the Oval Office), worship, prayer, and blessings flowed from a bunch of songbirds. We came from across the nation, heard incredible testimonies of God moving, and believe we left a deposit of grace, peace, and hope.”
At the end of the White House video, Kari commented that “God is moving! It’s very encouraging. It’s beautiful.”
